The St. Bernard has a wonderful disposition, and is especially devoted to children.It is brainy and easy to train.
There are two types of coat. The rough coat is dense and flat, and rather fuller round the neckThe thighs and tail are well feathered. The smooth coats are close and hound-like.
A daily grooming will be necessary for coat care.
Short walks are better than long walks for this breed.
