The Saluki is a sight hound and bred for speed and endurance.
They are good with children and other breeds, intelligent and highly sensitive, and will get very attached to their family.
They are usually reserved with strangers.
Needs considerable exercise and free safe running, and is not always instantly obedient, being somewhat wilful by nature.
Needs human companionship and can get very upset and become destructive if left on its own for too long.
The coat is smooth and has a soft silky texture, with feathering on the legs and back of the thighs.
