The well known Old English Sheepdog is a strong yet compact looking dog who are good with children and have a steady temperament.
The unique feature of the breed is its low pitched but loud bark.
Regular exercise with the freedom to gallop is essential.
The coat should be profuse and of a hard texture, shaggy, and free from curl. The undercoat has a waterproof pile.
Regular and thorough grooming is a must.
