The Kooikerhondje is a lovely spaniel type dog,and its distinctive features are the black ear rings which distinguish it from other spaniels.
It is a hardy little dog with a very friendly temperament and is especially good with children. It makes an excellent family pet.
The coat is medium long, slightly waved or straight and should not be curled.
Grooming should be regular and careful if knots and tangles are to be avoided.
Exercise needs are moderate, but it does love a good walk.
