The Doberman is a medium size dog of elegant figure, yet has a powerful build. Loyal to the family but will need lots of exercise and a firm hand.
Being a working dog he should be trained when young as he has natural obedience and ability.
The coat is short, hard and smooth and easy to maintain.The tail was previously docked.
